It is our pleasure to announce our next game event will be the Summer Solstice Celebration, one of the biggest events of the year! This event will begin on first day of summer, Wednesday, June 21st, and will end on Tuesday, July 4th. We will be re-opening both the Puzzlewood and Starving Rock zones for the event. For those of you unfamiliar, the Puzzlewood is a high-level area intended to be completed by large groups where players are pitted against against waves of monsters that increase in strength with each successive wave. Starving Rock is an autolevelling zone where players try to kill as many monsters as possible and can be completed at any level. We’ll also be releasing another area, Castle Ket. This area will be located on Kordan, but it will be an autolevelling zone for the duration of the event. Code updates: - Random ship encounters with boarders should be working again. - Trails and roads now have a more pronounced reduction of movement costs. - A few spells have been renamed. ‘Control animal’ is now ‘dominate animal’, ‘control undead’ is now ‘enslave undead’ and ‘control demon’ is now ‘pledge demon’. - Some changes to how certain spells interact with SHADOW creatures. Druid light-based spells should do extra damage as advertised, while ‘rorshach’ cheers them up. - The druid ‘thistles’ spell now has a short duration on targets. It slightly lowers hit point regeneration, and makes the target less able to resist ‘entangling roots’. - ‘Bloom’ has been moved to level 22 druid, while ‘entangling roots’ has been moved down to level 17 druid to take its place. - Vampiric vines now receive a boost to healing when attacking bleeding targets. - Alternative casting methods for druids and necromancers are in the works, like how mages have channel casting and clerics have groupcasting. Something for necromancers should be released soon. Changes to the Cartographer's Guild: - ‘Swimming’ is now an independent skill that costs one practice. - A new Grandmaster skill has been added: trailblazer. - The rest of the cartography skills have been reordered in a way to better match up better with terrains you encounter as you advance through the Westering Islands and the guild. Crafting updates: - ‘Hue’ now works on crystal spears and crystal shields. Permanently hue-able items now have colored inventory strings. - You can now add orbs to forged scepters! - ‘Graft undead’ now gives bonuses to hitroll/damroll/armor based on a wider range of stats. Grafted undead should also keep their bonuses if they re-level now. Graft undead's base improvements have been increased as well. Area updates: - Improvements to the group of zones known as the Labyrinth have been completed. Mobs, quests, fame, and equipment have been updated. - A new area level 38 group 7 area: The Donnerbucht, Bay of Thunder, should be ready for release by mid-June. - Work continues on Port Crimsonia, a level 42 zone on the northern continent of Ramanek.
